Another stellar weekend

Posted on

The last two weekends have 2 things in common: they were each sandwiched by delicious, sweet KU tournament wins (Friday and Sunday evenings, respectively). I also attended each of the Sunday games!

This past weekend, we spent the Friday  game downtown, again with some awesome people. Saturday, I was up and out of Lawrence rather early to catch a morning screening of The Hunger Games (morning shows =$5 at AMC theatres… things to know!) to celebrate Becca’s birthday. We then proceeded to a Mission Pub Crawl. It was a warm March Saturday and absolutely beautiful for hanging out on a patio with a delicious drinking spending time with Becca, Michelle, Caroline and the rest of the Mission pub crawlers. I even got a little bit of sun: summer tan, here I come!

I don’t have any photos of Becca (not that there weren’t any taken) except for a video of her dancing and being the good friend I am, I won’t post that for everyone to see 🙂

Sunday at 8am, still drowsy from sleep, Phil asked me “should we go to The Game?” It was a topic of discussion over the last few days with our friend Randy: we were in Omaha the previous weekend for the game, why not take another quick trip to St. Louis?! So we were up, getting ready to leave. 17 hours later after 9 hours of driving and 2 tense, action-packed basketball game hours we arrived home, exhausted and incredibly excited KU had made it to the Final Four (for just the 2nd time since I had become a KU basketball fan in the fall 0f 2003).

This is what March is made for 🙂
